Financial Firm
A Fortune 500 financial firm saw the need to support and retain its female talent in an organization where many felt alienated and powerless. By creating a mentor/mentee program throughout the organization, powerful social capital was created through which participants crossed departmental and hierarchical barriers, resulting in cross-department efficiencies and broader career opportunities for the women involved.
Results:
One participant got promoted twice as a result of the network and the visibility she created through her participation in the program. As a result, the company retained a talented and valuable employee.
When the program garnered its own visibility in the company newsletter, company offices in other locations inquired and started similar programs of their own.
Pharmaceutical Firm
A Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company grew concerned about exceedingly low employee engagement survey scores and their ability to retain talented administrative staff. After conducting a number of listening sessions with administrative staff, Dr. Radin set up a program designed to empower them to partner with program sponsors to create their own solutions. What resulted was a leadership strategy group of administrative employees with access to senior management. When the group presented an internal communication plan to the company’s executive committee it “blew them away.”

Not for Profit Start-Up Firm
A woman wanted to create an organization to help prevent women’s victimization on the streets of New York by providing safe travel options. Her initial vision was a three-car fleet of drivers to help women at risk. Dr. Radin helped her expand her vision and break through her perceived barriers of lack of education and resources.
Results:
Right Rides has now expanded across New York City and even into Boston and Los Angeles
It has acquired numerous sponsors, including Zipcar, and received significant grant money
The program has been acknowledged publicly by the Mayor of New York
The founder has been selected for a Columbia University leadership program
The founder has even received the Rising Stars Award from New York Women’s Agenda
Individual Client
A client working at an advertising agency wanted to explore the prospects of starting her own business. She had great ideas and concepts, but lacked expertise in selling, marketing and pitching to clients. In this case, the coaching involved improving competence and results at her current job while building the skills and confidence she would need in the future for her own firm.
